Snowball 2012

4 Feb /Union Station
The 24th annual Snowball is an event presented in the Great Hall of the Historic Union Station and will feature, live music, open bar, tasting buffet and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the Pediatric and Adolescent HIV and AIDS programs at the Junior Council of Children's Memorial Hospital.

This event commemorates February 19, 1942 of President Franklin Roosevelt´s signed Executive Order, which led to the internment of 120,000 Japanese Americans during World War II.

Professional storyteller, Anne Shimojima, will be present to offering folktales reflecting her Japanese American heritage as well as her family´s recollection of being in Tule Lake, California´s concentration camp.
