The Children's Museum of Houston
The Children's Museum of Houston is a great place to visit. There is something to do for all the kids no matter what age they are. There are activities for toddlers which usually take place in the morning hours, and activities for school-age children which usually take place after school hours unless it is vacation time and then there are activities which take place throughout the day.

There are fun activities and educational activities (which are also fun) going on all the time in the fourteen action-packed
galleries and if you want to find out what events there are on a particular day then you can check online at the museum site's daily calendar.

Some of the exhibits include: Invention Convention, Kidtropolis, Cyberchase, Matter Factory, Flow Works, Power Play, Building Brainstorm, Dragons and Fairies, McGovern Kids Hall and more. There is so much to see and do you might find that one day is not enough time to enjoy all the exhibits you want to see. It might be an idea to set aside two days for the museum in advance so that you don't feel rushed and under pressure.

There is a great Kid's Café  at the museum with a large menu so every kid will find something they like to eat.

Fiddle Sticks gifts is a great shop where you can find all kinds of fun things to buy like many unique, educational toys that you will not find anywhere else. You do not have to pay admission for the museum to visit the shop and there is convenient parking available.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday from10am to 6pm. On Thursday the museum is open till 8pm and there is free admission between 5pm and 8pm. On Sunday the museum is open from noon to 6pm.  The museum is closed on Mondays. Admission costs $7.
